samanddeanbrothers:
Newsflash: By repeating that if you see a picture of Baby Ackles on somebody’s blog you will unfollow because you respect Jensen’s privacy
That means you don’t care for their privacy because you keep repeating it and talking about it. Jensen’s daughter is not somebody who was on my mind for months and didn’t even track the tag, I only tracked it this month because of the fact she will be born this month and all I keep seeing is the quote above. Talk about obsessed. The people who try to put on the act of respecting the privacy of Jensen by not having his daughters picture on their blog because Jensen stated it, chances are these people are the ones who will keep digging to find a picture of her. Not putting her picture on your blog doesn’t mean you respect Jensen’s privacy because also chances are you would still go looking for a picture and looking at it, it doesn’t mean anything if the picture is on your blog or not.
Take it from Somebody who doesn’t care about followers and anybody unfollowing me, the picture of Jensen’s daughter will be on my blog if her picture will be posted on Danneel’s twitter, Gino’s twitter, and anything in relation to that.
some tumblr blogs come of as totally conceited by saying “I WILL UNFOLLOW YOU IF A PICTURE OF HER IS POSTED ON YOUR BLOG” as though they are this mighty person who people should be glad they are following you. Ew I don’t want to follow anybody like that or have anybody like that follow me. Newsflash you are just a fan stop trying to make yourself more important then you really are.

sierranic:
Why would you post a picture of their daughter on Tumblr when Jensen specifically stated he did NOT want that? If Danneel is kind enough to share a picture with her followers, then that’s awesome, and I’d love to see it. But I would not repost it, and neither should you.
Your argument makes no sense at all. We all want to see pictures of their daughter when she arrives, but any decent person will respect their wishes and no plaster their daughter’s face all over the internet.
samanddeanbrothers.tumblr.com/post/52315672255/...
samanddeanbrothers:
Actually my argument makes perfect sense. If I post a picture of the baby on my blog if Danneel shares it, it won’t be me circulating her picture online because see I am just a fan. As soon as Danneel posts a picture of her daughter online that picture will already be circulating online from many news outlets, she will probably be on E!news. Tumblr is not as important as many of you guys think it is because things are more universal then that. All bets are off once Danneel posts a picture on her twitter because it won’t only be passed around by fans but it will be taken from many News entertainment sites and they are the ones who will be circulating her picture online, not me. So again her picture will be on my blog if Danneel or somebody decides to share it publicly.
sierranic.tumblr.com/post/52316051097/smile-my-...
sierranic:
So because the photo will be widely circulated anyway, you think that means you’re not responsible if you do the same thing? No. If Danneel shares a picture, then that’s great, but that doesn’t mean you should go spreading it all over the internet.
And it’s even worse if you say you’ll do that if Gino posts a picture. So now the guy can’t share a picture of his niece without people exploiting it?
samanddeanbrothers.tumblr.com/post/52317686030/...
samanddeanbrothers:
You don’t even make sense. Twitter isn’t private. none at all. So you saying Gino can’t post a picture of his niece without people exploiting it is very laughable. It’s like you think Gino’s twitter is private and nobody knows about it, HELLO the only followers he has are fans of SPN and Jensen fans. You must be pretty naive to think anything shared on a public twitter is expected to stay on twitter. Everything posted on twitter from celebrities and people in the entertainment industry is not shared for the benifit of the person, but it’s done because they want the information out there, they want to share with teh fans and they know all it takes if copy and past and whatever information they put on twitter will be posted everywhere. Look you want to be one of those nice SPN fans and never post a picture of his daughter until Jensen gives his word to you even though the picture was shared publicly, then you do that (Though what is Jensen, your God?), but like I said, if the picture is shared publicly, then I will share it on my blog. If you are following me then unfollow see if I give a hoot.
sierranic.tumblr.com/post/52318712171/smile-my-...
sierranic:
I’m not following you. Like you, I don’t get the fuss over following or unfollowing… whatever. I just think it’s despicable for you to go against EXACTLY what Jensen asked, because you think you should have the right to.
Did it ever occur to you that if Danneel shares a pic on Twitter, she is hoping the fans will be decent enough to not post it everywhere else? I’m sure she knows it will be put out there, via the media, but maybe she’s trusting her fans to be above that. And Gino? It’s his PERSONAL Twitter. He has friends and family on there. If he posts a pic, he’s sharing it with them and his other followers. That doesn’t mean you should take it from there and post it on your own blog.
It’s not that hard to understand!
Jensen’s not my god, don’t be stupid. It’s a matter of respect. Which is apparently too much for you to comprehend. So congratulations, you’re part of what’s wrong with this fandom.

This! Jensen and Danneel are not stupid. By posting a picture themselves, they giving fans their agreement, that this photo is meant to be public.

If Danneel is kind enough to share a photo, and you post Baby Ackles all over Tumblr, when Jensen specifically asked you not to… you’re an asshole.
jensenacklespl.tumblr.com/post/52315781086/if-d...
jensenacklespl:
If Danneel herself posts a photo of the baby on her Twitter, that means that her and Jensen WANTS fans to see that photo and it means that it’s OK for this one particular photo to be repost on blogs and Tumblr, since they share it in the first place. If they don’t want ANY pics on-line, they simply won’t share them.
Jensen however said, that they will share some pics in their own time, when they decided that it’s time for the world to meet their litlle girl.
There is a difference between stalking them and taiking pics of their daughter without their knowledge or stealing pics from some private accounts than reposting a photo that the parents themselves posted on-line.

Anonymous asked: Neither Jensen nor Danneel have "specifically asked" people not to share their own photos on Tumblr. They have never mentioned Tumblr. They asked people don't take their own photos like how paparazzi do.
This is the report of what Jensen said, not an exact quote, but:
He said that as celebs they understood what they signed up for. But his child isn’t a celebrity and he’s really going to try to protect her from that side of his life for as long as possible. And in short, he would like us as fans to NOT reblog, post or help spread in any way photos of his daughter. He said he knows the fans are like a pack of wolves that if you don’t feed them they will come for you and he laughed. He said that he and Danneel will get pics out for us IN THEIR OWN TIME if we are patient and that they just want to enjoy it themselves for a minute or two.
So while he may not have mentioned Tumblr specifically, he made it pretty clear he didn’t want us to spread her picture all over the internet… Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.
They are TRUSTING the fans with their daughter’s picture, if they share one with us. And instead of taking that seriously, and respecting it, fans are saying “Well, the picture will be spread by news mags and others anyway, so why not!?”

Reposting, because apparently some people still don’t get it.
An account of what Jensen said:
He said that as celebs they understood what they signed up for. But his child isn’t a celebrity and he’s really going to try to protect her from that side of his life for as long as possible. And in short, he would like us as fans to NOT reblog, post or help spread in any way photos of his daughter. He said that he and Danneel will get pics out for us IN THEIR OWN TIME if we are patient and that they just want to enjoy it themselves for a minute or two.
Is that really so difficult to understand?
He did not say he just doesn’t want people taking their own pics, or spreading the ones the paparazzi took… he doesn’t want the fans spreading pictures of his daughter all over the internet PERIOD. Just because Danneel, or Gino, or Clif, or whoever might share a picture on Twitter at some point, does NOT make it okay for you assholes to take that picture from their accounts, and post it wherever you want.
You can say “They know it won’t stay totally private anyway!” all you want, and you’d be great. But here’s a novel idea… BE THE BETTER PERSON. Don’t be that guy who disrespects their wishes. Be the fan who proves to them that they can trust us, so maybe they’ll continue to do so in the future.
If you don’t… well then, don’t be surprised if they stop being so forthcoming with us. People like you love to ruin it for everyone else.
