Jensen Ackles Versatile young actor Jensen Ackles is popular among TV viewers as Eric Brady (1997-2000) on the NBC’s long-running soap opera "Days of Our Lives," (2001-2002), the wisecracking genetically-engineered superhuman on Fox's cyberpunk sci-fi series "Dark Angel," and as Jason Teague, Lana's (played by Kristin Kreuk) boyfriend in the season 4 (2004-2005) of The WB/CW television series "Smallville." He currently plays Dean Winchester in The WB/CW's paranormal drama series "Supernatural" (2005-Present). On the big screen, the rising young actor, son of actor Roger Alan Ackles, played lead roles in the films "Devour" (2005) and "Ten Inch Hero" (2007). Recently, he made his stage debut (also starring Lou Diamond Phillips) in a production of Aaron Sorkin's “A Few Good Men” at the Casa Mañana Theatre in Fort Worth Texas. The 6' 1" handsome actor was one of TV Guide's “50 Sexiest Men of 2006,” Inside TV Magazine's "2005 50 Hottest New Faces," E! Online's "Sizzlin' 16 of 2004" and YM magazine's "Hottest Guys of 2003." He was rumored to be dating singer-turned-actress Jessica Simpson, but in fact, they are just friends. He was also rumored to have dated LeAnn Rhimes, but they have both said they are also just friends.

Jensen Ackles In Dallas, Texas, Jensen Ross Ackles was born on March 1, 1978, to Donna Joan Shaffer and Roger Alan Ackles, an actor who made recurring appearances on “Walker, Texas Ranger” (CBS, 1994 - 2000) and “Dallas” (CBS, 1984-1988). Jensen is of Irish, English and Scottish ancestry. He has one older brother, Josh Ackles (born in 1975), and one younger sister, Mackenzie Joan Ackles (born on June 26, 1985). “I was in preschool and a girl actually kissed me on the cheek. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know what it meant, so I instantly grabbed her face and kissed her on the lips. And then, I got suspended.” Jensen Ackles Jensen was raised in Richardson, Texas, and attended Dartmouth Elementary School (1990) and Apollo Junior High School, both in Richardson, Texas (1993). In 1996, he graduated from Lloyd V. Berkner High School where he played baseball and lacrosse. Before moving to Los Angeles to become an actor, he once planned to study sports medicine at Texas Tech University and become a physical therapist. Career: Jensen Ackles began modeling at age 4 and appeared in print and TV commercials for “Wal-Mart,” “Nabisco” and “Radio Shack.” In 1995, at age 17, Jensen was discovered by a talent agent while attending a workshop for actors in Dallas. He recalled, “When I was a sophomore, a friend asked me to go to a local acting seminar with him. Two guys were very interested in me and wanted me to come out to L.A. I wanted to finish high school before doing anything like that. I figured they'd just forget about me, but they kept after me for two years.” The aspiring actor subsequently landed his TV acting debut in an episode of PBS' "Wishbone" (1995), which was shot in his hometown Dallas at the time. After completing high school in 1996, Jensen decided to move to Los Angeles to give acting a try. In the new destination, the new comer scored guest spots in such TV series as The WB/CW drama "7th Heaven," the syndicated high school drama/comedy based on Francine Pascal's book series, "Sweet Valley High," and CBS’ sitcom "Cybill." He also had a recurring role on the NBC sitcom "Mr. Rhodes" (1996). In 1997, Jensen snagged his first breakout role, as Eric Brady (1997-2000), on the NBC long-running soap opera "Days of Our Lives." His performance received applause and won a Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Male Newcomer. He was also nominated for a Daytime Emmy three times (1998; 1999; 2000), all for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series. When his contract with "Days of Our Lives" ended, Jensen made guest appearances in the first season of Fox's cyberpunk sci-fi television program "Dark Angel," playing Ben. He was later picked up as a series regular. He also appeared in the CBS miniseries about Marilyn Monroe (portrayed by Poppy Montgomery), "Blonde" (2001). From 2002 to 2003, Jensen played C.J. in the sixth season of The WB's primetime television drama "Dawson's Creek." He eventually nabbed his first starring role, as a young man who is murdered on his first day as a cop but returns to his family a year later, on Fox's drama series "Still Life." Unfortunately, the show was canceled before it even aired. After turning down a chance to play Eliza Dushku's love interest on Fox's television program "Tru Calling," Jensen chose to take a role on The WB/CW television series about young Clark Kent/Superman, "Smallville," in which he played Jason Teague, Lana's (played by Kristin Kreuk) boyfriend in season 4 (2004-2005). During that time, he also appeared in Chris Dowling's 16-minute comedy film "The Plight of Clownana" (2004). In 2005, Jensen was hired to play the lead role of Dean Winchester, the rugged bad boy who travel across the country in a black 1967 Chevy Impala with his younger brother (played by Jared Padalecki) to find their missing father, on The WB/CW's paranormal drama television series "Supernatural." He has appeared in the show since its debut on September 13, 2005, and will return for its third season, which is set to premiere on October 4, 2007. Jensen's performance in the show has earned him a Teen Choice Award nomination for TV - Choice Breakout Star. Meanwhile, moviegoers could catch him starring as Jake Gray, a young man with bizarre visions of murder and self-mutilation, in David Winkler's horror film "Devour" (2005; with Shannyn Sossamon, Dominique Swain and William Sadler), and co-starring with Elisabeth Harnois, Clea DuVall and Sean Patrick Flanery in David Mackay's romantic drama/comedy "Ten Inch Hero" (2007), which tells the story of the tangled love life of co-workers at a sub shop in Santa Cruz. Jensen also made his first stage appearance on June 5 to 10, 2007, alongside Lou Diamond Phillips, in a production of Aaron Sorkin's “A Few Good Men” at the Casa Mañana Theatre in Fort Worth Texas. In the play, he portrayed the inexperienced Navy lawyer Lt. Daniel Kaffee, the character which was played by Tom Cruise in the film version in 1992. “What I enjoy most is traveling to different places and meeting new people.
