They started swinging at me and it was an all-out brawl.

I ran back in and I was fly-kicking at some kid, hit another guy, grabbed Jared's shirt — of course, I ripped his favorite shirt — and I was yelling "C'mon, let's get out of here!" We were pretty tight after that.

Lai, my ever present friend with the obsessive tendency to scourge the internet, passed me this link. It's from an old TV Guide interview with Jensen Ackles but... OMG I'd never seen it before! Now, the interview is looong and focuses mainly on Jensen chatting about season 3 --which I already know how it goes, thankyouverymuch--, so I'll just paste the bit that made me giggle and cheer and feel positively ecstatic.

читать дальшеHere's part one of an interview TV Guide. com did with Jensen. In it, he talks about the show, his friendship with Jared, the CW and how the network treats them (he's very diplomatic but honest) and so on. (And there are no spoilers.)
He also talks about a barfight he, Jared and a friend of Jared's got into completely by accident. For those who don't know the story, the three of them were walking by a bar. Some girl saw Jensen and said, "That's the guy!" Now, she meant, "That's the hot guy I've been seeing on TV!" But these eight rowdy types outside the bar thought she meant, "That's the guy who was messing with me earlier," and basically attacked.
Luckily, Jensen and Jared do martial arts training for SPN, and were able to hold their own. Even though Jared ended up breaking his hand. (Yep, that's how it happened.)
I love how Jensen describes it.
I got away first, then I turn around and see three or four guys teaming up on Jared. I was like, "Oh, man!" I run back in and I'm fly-kicking at some kid, hit another guy, grabbed Jared's shirt — of course, I ripped his favorite shirt — and I'm yelling "C'mon, let's get out of here!"
He also talks about how he almost got the role of Clark on SV (and how he thinks TW was the right choice), and some other stuff.
It's a cool interview.

Well, Jared has broken his hand twice. The first time, in season one, it got broken during the fight. And, since Sam's hand wasn't supposed to be broken at the time, Jared wore a removable cast that he could take off during filming. How he did it is beyond me. I've had a broken hand and I know that, even with a cast on, bumping it against something hurt like heck. I can only imagine how much it hurts if you bump it against something and don't have a cast on to cushion it a little.
The second time Jared broke his hand, they wrote it into the show, which I think was a cool move.

If you watch the bloopers from S1 when they are watching the boat drive out, you can see part of the "brace" that Jared was wearing. It's plastic and has velcro type straps that keep it in place.
