In 1997, he joined the cast of the soap opera Days of our Lives as Eric Brady, for which he won a Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Male Newcomer in 1998.
He gained further recognition after being cast in James Cameron’s series Dark Angel. He is best known for his portrayal of Dean Winchester in the series Supernatural, a role he has been playing since 2005 up to present.

Jensen Ackles has very recently said he weighs 190 lbs when quipping in 2013 about how much taller than him Jared Padalecki is. I am sure his upper body is bigger. In many photos his shoulders look nearly the same size as Padalecki’s. Padalecki is more ‘cut up” than Ackles, Ackles more smoothly muscled and toned. They’re just built completely differently. Ackles more square with more body fat and Padalecki more V’ed with just about none. Not to say either are unfit or fat, they just have different body styles. You should update weight and measurements. And I’m sure they go up and down scales a little too. They never look sloppy!
