I was blind as a bat from age 10 onwards. I wore contact lenses for 20 years. Then my husband gave me the gift of Lasik. It's a miracle. I used to be 575-625 and now I'm 20-10, which means I can read the little letters below 20-20. I know about 10 people who had it done (all by the same doctor), and we are all thrilled. Quite frankly if you're paying E$400 per pair of glasses, bite the bullet and get the lasik. It will only be the cost of 2-3 pairs of glasses and you'll love it every single day!

Can't have Lasik, something to do with my eyes and their shape and a host of other things. I like the glasses I have now and seem to be wearing them more and more. I'm going for the hot librarian look.

Yay for Specsavers! My friend is an optician there a word of warning regarding buying your glasses online, my friend was telling me that as you can't do proper measurements on yourself you can actually damage your eyes as they won't be focussing quite right. She said that although they look like a good deal, there's a reason that opticians charge more

I think I need glasses, but I haven't been checked in a few years. It's only words that are really far that look fuzzy (and street signs at night).
My husband wears glasses (and contacts at the same time) because he has a weak right eye and is near sighted too. He looks way hotter without his glasses and only wears them when he leaves the house.
I want him to get some nerdy black frame glasses to wear around the house. That's hot.

When I saw Jensen Ackles last week he was recovering from laser surgery, and one of his eyes had a huge red clot, poor baby! It looked pretty sore. Does anyone know the recovery time for the surgery?
And yes, I'm name-dropping

i dunno but send him over to me & I'll look after him!
(where/why did you manage to see him? If I can ask?)
LASIK surgery takes less than 15 minutes to perform. Most patients experience improved vision immediately, although complete LASIK surgery recovery can take up to six months as vision takes some time to stabilize following surgery. Read more about LASIK results and the LASIK surgery recovery process.

Haha noooo looking after him is my job!
I saw both him and Jared at the Hilton in Birmingham. I'd stopped there for lunch on my way home from London - Manchester and as it happened there was a Supernatural convention going on. I was completely oblivious until actors kept walking past me and I was thinking 'I swear you were in Supernatural...and so were you...and you!' Then I saw those two and I was like ahhhhh, and a little *squeeee* inside.
Both super hot in person, and I had eye contact with Jensen (and his little blood shot eye, hehe) as I was on the phone as the two of them were waiting for a lift (I was walking up and down near the lift), and when the doors were closing he was looking at me (cue brain squee). I'm a Jared fan so I was hoping he'd look my way but he looked quite shy/jet-lagged and kept staring at the floor - bastard!

Haha nope, thankfully! I was just catching up with a friend I hadn't seen for a couple of months. I probably did stall a little when I saw them but I was pretty composed considering they are two of my favourite celebrities. They were probably quite impressed with me, Jensen was probably staring at me like 'wtf isn't she fainting?!'
Plus everyone who was attending the convention had these tags around their neck, so obviously I looked effortlessly cool and completely could have passed as a citizen who had no idea who the fuck they were...smooth, I think

To be fair to both of them, they looked like they appreciated I didn't scream or freak out or call their names (they probably assumed I had no clue who the hell they were). I guess at a convention where most people wet themselves over your presence it must have been refreshing someone just reacting as if they were 'regular' people.
