I miss Eric. I loved him as played by Jensen Ackles, but I wonder if he'd still fit on the canvas after 11 years away.

Eric has a history with Nicole. In fact, Nicole wouldn't even exist without Eric! She was brought on as his love interest. Eric torpedoed a stable relationship with Greta for Nicole and then she broke his heart. So I'd say there's unresolved issues there.

As Marlena's son and Sami's twin, there's plenty of family drama and conflict to become embroiled in. And after over a decade away, there's so much we don't know about Eric that can be explored.

Eric was a (fashion) photographer. I'd like to see him return to Salem as a photo journalist. They should bring back the Spectator (run by Jack and Jenn) and have Eric work for them as a photographer.

As for actors, Jensen is unavailable. So how about the previous actor to play Brady Black, Kyle Lowder?

I would be ok with Kyle Lowder playing the role. I think he'd do great. I usually hate when they bring back past actors to play a new role, but I'd be ok with this one.

I would love to have Eric back. I don't think I'd like Kyle Lowder in the role though. I never was a fan of his. I absolutely LOVE Jensen Ackles. I know he's unavailable but oh, would I love to have him back in the role. I don't know, maybe that guy who played Stan could be Eric or some other guy from one of the cancelled soaps that needs a job? I agree there would be plenty of story there.

I would love for Eric to return. It's always irked me that Sami's twin hasn't been on the show in forever. Seriously, with all of the stuff she's been through over the past five or six years, having her twin in town would have been nice.

Jensen Eckles will always be Eric to me.

I would LOVE to see Eric back in Salem. I'm with BradyPubBoy that it's annoying Sami's twin has been MIA for years, when she's been a constant figure for almost 20 years.

I think Dan Wells did such a marvelous job of portraying Sami as Stan...and the actor commented how he watched for "Sami mannerisms" in the weeks before he took over the role. He'd be terrific as Sami's twin.

However, we all know there is only room for x amount of actors. The show has really used up a lot of budget with the new sets, returning vets, and keeping the recurring actors on camera.

i would love for eric to come back but with kyle lowder playing him. i really loved him as brady but since i now like eric as brady i want him back as nikkys first love.

sami needs a friend and sober brother and nikky needs a man that hasnt screwed her sister or killed her mom and one she hasnt jumped back and forth to in the past year.

they could usher him in by simply having him come to visit his sisters, mom, dad and see john walk again. then one day he walks past daniel and thinks he remembers him. he goes looking through his photos and realizes that 10yrs ago he did a photo shoot where dan was an onsite doctor and the three models that came to see him all ended up dead and doc peacoke(his alias) was never seen again. he can go to jack and nikky to help him bring this guy down

Eric NEEDS to be brought back to the show. As someone already said, he has a history with Nicole, but he also has a history with Taylor as well. I remember a scene with her and Eric having picnic in a park. So much potential. You'd think that Sami and him would've spoken more and I'd love for the writers to explore Brady and Eric's relationship. I love seeing when Brady and Sami are having heart to hearts and you get to see their brother/sister side come out. I like that. I also like it when I see Marlena and Carrie like mother/daughter, Marlena and Brady, mother/son. It brings a sense of realism to the show and proves that blood is NOT always thicker than water.

Eric was semi-involved with Taylor. I think she had a crush on him but it didn't really come to anything. Taylor was working as a night janitor at Titan to put herself through school to become a physio therapist. Nicole thought that was shameful and tried to hide the fact that they were sisters. I think Lucas got injured in a drunk driving accident and Taylor helped him recover.

Eric accompanied Taylor to a bible study group meeting in the park.

Dan Wells, who played Stan, would be a good choice for Eric. I'd also dig Forbes March or Greg Vaughan.

I agree Forbes March or Greg Vaughn would be awesome choices to play Eric Brady. I suggest letting go Dan and Melanie to make room in the budget for hiring one of the actors. Eric can return as a chef and open a classy restaurant to rival Maggie's Chez Rouge or he can take over the Brady Pub as Caroline will likely be retiring soon.

I agree with you Barb, 100%. I think that Days should only bring characters back that would be essential to the storytelling, such as Lucas, Sarah, etc. As for Dan Wells portraying Eric, that is a great idea.

Seems like we are never satisfied. I'm sure the show went to a huge expense to make the recent cast and set changes, yet we want more. I think we should give it time and see what happens.

I have to agree. While I did like Eric, I don't see a need for him on the show. At this point, if Days was going to bring character in, I'd rather see some new fresh faces that have no or very little ties to the show's main residents right off the bat. It seems that in a weird way most the characters are related to each other or have been romantically linked or have a history established already and it makes it hard to have a new storyline with a fresh couple. Like bringing in a new guy for Nicole or a new gal for Brady to get involved with would be ok with me.

But yes, I don't think Eric is needed at the moment.

We talked about this a while ago. Those of us who watched Jensen Ackles, the actor who portrayed Eric Brady, on his show Supernatural had some funny thoughts. We pictured Eric coming back to Salem with the car that Jensen has on his new show. The trunk is packed with weapons for fighting demons, wraiths, etc. The weapons would come in handy for battling the Dimeras.

I agree that these are all extremely expendable characters, AC, but I'm not sure that story dictates their departures or the returns you mentioned right now ... I'm going to be patient.

Yes! He would be a great addition to stir things up with Nicole, and one more hot guy on the show is certainly not going to hurt anything. Actually now that I think about it we are in need of some hot guys, now that Quinn left. He was purttttttty.

Love Kyle Loder and would love to see him back as Eric Brady. I think it's a shame that the carachter of Eric is always just blown off. Bring him back as a big Photograher work for Titan and blow Kate out of the water.
