Eric was born on October 19, 1984 along with his twin sister Sami. In 1992, Eric and his sister Sami were sent to their grandparents' house in Colorado for a summer while Marlena, Roman, and John worked out their problems.

Eric Brady returned to Salem in August of 1997 when he learned that John and Marlena were going to marry. However, when he came back he learned that his dad, Roman Brady, was alive. Roman was believed to have died on an ISA mission. However, Roman was dying of a deadly virus which a cure had not been found for. Roman told Marlena that he still loved her, when suddenly his heart stopped. Marlena saved Roman and Eric began to wonder if he could re-unite his parents.

Eric posed a threat to Sami because she feared Eric would be able to sense that Sami was lying about having her memory back. Carrie was already suspicious of this and asked Eric if he could sense anything. However, Sami managed to fool Eric and he was unable to tell if she was lying.

Sami and Austin became engaged and were to be married. Austin, was marrying her only because he thought he'd lost Carrie and this was the right thing to do, Sami asked Roman to walk her down the isle. Meanwhile, Carrie showed up and was determined to stop the wedding. Eric told his dad that something was wrong and when Roman saw the look on Austin and Carrie's faces, he realized Sami was lying. Roman pretended to collapse to buy Carrie the time to learn what was really going on. Carrie, Eric, and Mike searched the hospital records and learned that Lucas was really Will's father. Carrie rushed to the church and decked her sister and then exposed the devastating truth to everyone. Much to Sami's dismay, Austin and Carrie were married the same day, August 26, 1997.

Roman's health began to decline and he admits to Eric that before he died he wanted to marry Marlena. Eric told his mom his father's dying wish. Because she believed the cure was lost, John had contacted her from the compound and told her that the vial was dropped, Marlena decided to marry Roman. However, John, Hope, Stefano, and Kristen showed up at the hospital with the cure just as Marlena was about to marry Roman, because it was his dying wish, The cure was administered to Roman and Stefano was granted a pardon for his crimes. Marlena explained to John why she was going to marry Roman and he understood. After several problems with the cure, it eventually worked and cured Roman.

Roman was released from the hospital, but Marlena and John were told that any stress could cause Roman to relapse. Therefore, John and Marlena were forced to hide their love. Eric decided to use this to his own advantage and tried to push his mom and dad back together. John soon became frustrated with the entire situation when Roman moved into the guest room in Marlena's penthouse, which forced John to move back in with Kristen to keep up the charade that they were married.

Unfortunately for Eric, Roman eventually realized that John and Marlena belonged together and bowed out of Marlena's life so she could be with John.

In 1998, Eric became interested in Nicole Walker, a new girl in town who was waitressing at the Java Cafe. Sami, who was working on a test shot for her "New Faces" campaign, asked Eric to be the photographer and Nicole to be the model. Nicole accepted and dreamed of becoming a rich model to escape the poverty she was living in. The photo shoot was a huge success, but Kate still wanted nothing to do with Sami's idea. However, Vivian began to aspire to take over Titan and thought she could use Sami to do it. Vivian planned to start a company to rival Titan and offered to help Sami kick off her "New Faces" campaign. Vivian decided to go to Kate with the photos of Nicole and brag about what a success she was going to be. Kate decided to beat Vivian to the punch by signing Nicole to Bella, but then she saw Vivian and Sami together. Kate realized that Sami had gone behind her back and started her "New Faces" campaign. Kate, who hated the thought of Sami and Vivian working together, reluctantly approved Sami's project and hire Eric and Nicole.

Eric became interested in Nicole and they eventually went out on a date. However, Nicole refused to talk about her past and refused to allow Eric to walk her home. Later that night, Nicole returned to her scummy apartment and received mysterious letters from someone in LA. Nicole ripped the letters up and became upset that someone had found her.

Eric and Nicole learned about a modeling shoot in Florida and Sami gave them the job. However, Nicole panicked when she learned that the location has been changed from Florida to LA. However, Eric managed to convince her to do the shoot. In LA, Nicole refused to wear a revealing suit and asked Eric to find another one, which he did. Nicole's real reason was to hide a heart tattoo with N+J on it. Later, Nicole ran into an old friend, Jay. Jay followed and harassed Nicole during the photo shoot. Later, Nicole snuck out of her hotel room to meet with Jay. Eric found them together and got into a fight with Jay. Later, Nicole lied to Eric and told him that Jay was her cousin. Nicole said she was ashamed of him because he's a junkie and was trying to hit her up for drug money.

Upon returning from LA, the photos came out great. Eric wanted to walk Nicole home from the photo lab at Titan and Nicole agreed to let him. Nicole told him that she lived in a fancy apartment building and told Eric she didn't want him to come up because her place was a mess.

The Horton's and Brady's hosted a family barbecue for the Fourth of July. Eric took Nicole to the picnic and the two became closer. Eventually, Nicole managed to move into the high class apartment building she claimed to live in. Eric learned she had lived in a dumpy apartment, but Nicole managed to cover up her living arrangements with more lies.

Nicole's past began to catch up with her and it was revealed that she and Jay were once lovers and there is a mysterious man in prison who knows Nicole.

Brief Character History

Eric Brady was one of twins born to Roman and Marlena Brady. He and his sister were extremely close as children, and were sent together to Colorado shortly after starting school. Although Sami returned to Salem during high-school, Eric was well out of school by the time he finally came home, when John and Marlena became officially involved because Eric believed that his parents (Roman and Marlena) belonged together. He also believed that his amnesiac sister Sami was faking her memory loss. With Carrie and Mike, Eric tried to find out what Sami's big secret was, and on the day that Sami was set to marry Austin, they realized that Will could not possibly be Austin's son, and that Sami knew. Carrie rushed to the Church to stop the wedding and to humiliate her sister. Although Eric felt horribly guilty for the role he had played in his sister's pain, Sami soon forgave him, because she realized he didn't do it to hurt her.

Not long after, Eric realized that someone was following him everywhere. It turned out to be an old schoolmate, Jed Fox. Eric had initially been accused of date rape when Jed was really the rapist, and lost his position in school as a result. Jed threatened to kill Sami if Eric didn't say it was really him, but Eric was able to convince Jed to accept his crimes and move on. Shortly thereafter, he met Nicole Walker, a waitress at the Java Cafй. When he started working at Countess Wilhelmina as a photographer, he thought she would make the perfect model. The two became romantically entangled, although their relationship was strained when Nicole's past started cropping up. When Eric had to focus all his attentions on Sami's upcoming trial for murdering Franco Kelly, Nicole got involved with Lucas, and Eric got involved with an older woman, Greta Von Amberg. Nicole and Eric were finished when Eric learned that Nicole had married Lucas Roberts.

Eric was then free to focus all of his concerns on Sami's trial. Sami had escaped and gone on the run, but after being recaptured by the police, she was sent back to prison to await lethal injection. Just as the injections were being given (as a shocked Eric looked on), Lucas burst in to take the blame, but later recanted when Roberto Barelli also confessed. Although Greta and Eric were spending a lot of time together, he couldn't keep Nicole out of his mind. He began sleeping with her again, and when Greta realized Eric still loved her, she broke things off. After having a near-fatal accident at a railway crossing and a heavenly trial with Isabella Toscano Black as his counsel, Eric decided to leave Salem. Before he left though, he told Nicole he would always love her.

Since leaving, Eric sent a letter to town when Roman was presumed dead (he was later found alive) remembering some of the good times. Marlena also made several trips to Colorado to visit Eric.

Вам, как жительнице Ванкувера, наверняка уже приходилось сталкиваться со съемками сериала «Сверхъестественное»?

О, да, с самого первого сезона, но, в конце концов, я сдалась. Я уже начала понимать, что сняться в нём мне не судьба. Вроде того. Я была на КомикКоне в Сан-Диего в прошлом году, и там показывали кусочек трейлера седьмого сезона. Я слышала, как толпа начала сходить с ума, когда показали клип из моей серии, мне было очень приятно. Я даже не представляла, насколько это значительно.

Когда вы прочитали сценарий, то о чём вам поведали сцены из прошлого Эми?

Эми делала всё, что требовалось для того, чтобы выжить и заботиться о своём сыне, который был для неё важнее всего на свете. Я не думаю, что Эми злая, просто она отрицательный персонаж.

Как бы вы описали отношения Эми и Сэма при их новой встрече?

Они не забыли друг друга, не забыли то, что случилось в прошлом, что она сделала для него, а он – для неё. Конечно, они были осторожны друг с другом, но Эми знала, что Сэм ей ничего не сделает. Она знала, что он не причинит ей вреда, и она тоже не стала бы ему вредить, если бы он не угрожал её сыну. В противном случае она бы пошла на всё.

Вы обсуждали, кто мог быть отцом сына Эми, ведь по иронии судьбы, отца самой Эми тоже никто не знал?

Интересно, не так ли? На самом деле мы не касались этой темы. Я не думаю, что он так уж много значил в её жизни. Эми настолько привыкла быть единственным защитником и кормильцем в семье, что это стало её второй натурой. Иного она не знала. И даже не задумывалась над этим.

Джаред невероятно высокий и здоровый парень. Как вы снимали сцену, когда Эми отобрала у него нож и прижала его к дереву?

Учитывая, что вы работали в накладном гриме рейфа в «Атлантиде», не удивились ли вы и не были ли разочарованы, что Эми не нужно было гримироваться?

Я не удивилась, и уж точно не была разочарована. Накладной грим ужасен! В нём неудобно, он мешает движениям. От него сплошная грязь, поэтому я была чрезвычайно благодарна, что они не стали со мной этого делать.

Большая часть вашей кинокарьеры прошла в фантастических фильмах и фильмах ужасов. Чем вас так привлекают эти роли?

Просто мне нравятся интересные женские образы. Дело не в жанре фильма. Дело в сценарии, в сюжете, в том, с кем мне придётся работать. У меня всегда получалось только так. Я бы сказала, что дело в материале.

Вы всегда заняты. Можете рассказать о «Highland Gardens», сериале, съемки которого только что закончились в Торонто?

Это сериал о группе голодающих актёров, музыкантов и танцоров, которые пытаются выбиться в Голливуде. У них всех есть большая мечта, но, переехав туда, они понимают, что реализовать её нелегко. Сериал очень реалистичен. Голливуд изображён очень похоже на настоящий, таким в кино я его ещё не видела. В сериале много комедии, но он и очень грустный. Я снималась в роли Ракель, ветерана группы. Он играла в популярном сериале, который закрыли, но её до сих пор узнают по нему на улицах. Она уже какое-то время не работает и отчаянно мечтает о славе и успехе. Она очень умна, хитра и изобретательна. Она всегда получает то, что хочет и её не волнует, что будет с тем, кто попадётся ей под колёса. Играть её было здорово, персонаж радикально отличается от всех, кого мне приходилось играть прежде.

Возвращаясь к «Сверхъестественному», какую атмосферу создавал Дженсен как режиссёр на съёмочной площадке? Как он это делал?

С самого первого дня Дженсен был организован и спокоен. Он такой по натуре. Он держится спокойно и уверенно. Он разговаривает мягко, вежливо и профессионально. Очень часто мы даже опережали график. Сцену драки мы сняли всего часа за полтора. Невероятно, но он знал, чего хочет. Мне было легко, он очень талантливый режиссёр. Дженсен мог бы сделать хорошую карьеру в режиссуре. Он доверяет своей команде, но не стесняется спросить совета. Он уверен в себе, но не эгоист.

Большую часть серии вы снимались с Джаредом. Вам было весело?

Он уморительный! Джаред постоянно старается тебя рассмешить, и очень часто ему это удаётся. В сцене, где мы повторно встречаемся в лесу, я охочусь на парня в машине, я должна была повернуться, а Джаред – наставить на меня нож. Всё время, пока я была к нему спиной, Джаред пытался воткнуть нож в ухо оператору. Я только слышала за спиной: «Перестань! Перестанешь ты или нет!» Я думала, что оператор сошёл с ума. Я не могла понять, с кем он разговаривает, пока не повернулась и не увидела, что Джаред засунул ему в ухо фальшивый нож. Он жутко забавный. Он как огромный, симпатичный щеночек!

Эми пыталась перестать быть монстром. Почему же в финале Дин её всё-таки убил?

Такова натура Дина. Он привык защищать себя и брата. Для него не было никакой разницы. Дин не считал Эми человеком, он видел в ней проблему, которая будет только усугубляться. Как защитник, Дин должен был убрать Эми с дороги. Это очень печально, потому что, по-моему, он не хотел этого делать, но должен был.

In an interview with TV Guide Magazine actor Roark Critchlow who played Mike on Days Of Our Lives discusses his new role on the TV series V and his soapy past.  But you might be shocked at what he had to say on the subject of Deidre and Drake (ex- Marlena and John).  Here is the soap excerpt from that interview:

"You were on Days of Our Lives from 1994-99. It’s been ten years. Did they try to get you back when they brought Christie Clark back as Carrie in 2006?

Nope. That never came up. I did Passions and The Bold and the Beautiful for a bit, but Days has never come a-callin'. I still stay in touch with Christie and Drake Hogestyn.

 

You were on Days with Jensen Ackles, who like you has jumped to sci-fi TV. He's shooting Supernatural up in Vancouver where V shoots.

Jensen is one of the better people I've known. And I watch him on Supernatural. He's so funny. We used to hook up for a beer every now and then. But I will hunt him down when production on V starts up again in January.

 

When's the last time you tuned in to Days?

A while ago. It was a good thing, but I have three kids and I don't even watch much primetime TV. And I know Days too well -- it's not going to surprise me.

But were you shocked that Days dumped Deidre Hall (Marlena) and Drake Hogestyn (John)?

I try to look at things from a production standpoint, and if they have created a core of younger cast members with a loyal following who doesnot care about John and Marlena that it sort of makes sense. Do they want to continue serving the older audience? People are passing away so you've got to let the show grow.

There's a lot of speculation that the show only has a couple years left. If they asked you to come back with Christie Clark to send Mike and Carrie off into the sunset before the final grain of sand drops from the hourglass, would you?

If I'm not working on V or something else, I'd do a week. Heck ya. That would be fine."

Jensen: It was never in my plan, never really a dream of mine. Jensen: I more or less stumbled upon it and found something I enjoyed and could make a living doing it! Jensen: It's not so bad. Soapscreen asks: Julianne same question? Julianne: I kind of got the acting bug, so to speak, in junior high school, doing plays. Jensen: She saw one of my commercials. Daysfan1 asks: Is Nicole going to get between Eric and Greta? Jensen: I think she's gonna give it her best shot. Jensen: I don't know if it's going to work out. Eric's going to try to stick to his guns about not going back to Nicole although he's attracted to her. Jensen: He wished it had worked out, but he wants to move on. spacegroove asks: How long did it take to do your make-up when you scarred up as Swamp Girl? Julianne: Actually Swamp Girl was a very quick make-up application, it was just a matter of slapping a lot of brown mud on me. Julianne: No, I don't know what happened to them! I lost them somewhere along the way. Julianne: I was a huge Blackie fan when he was on GH, Julianne: but I lost track of him since those days. That was a very very long time ago. Julianne: No, he's humble and sweet. Jensen: I don't necessarily think of myself like that. Jensen: You don't wake up in the morning and go "Damn I'm good lookin'!"I think everyone looks at their flaws first. kattsia asks: Jensen and Julianne, what do you think of the writers aging all the children overnight? Julianne: I haven't thought about it. Julianne: It's a part of the soap world though. Jensen: It happens. It happened with my character. It helps to give the soaps storylines and moves the actual families along quicker. Julianne: Instead of bringing on new characters that have no family connection, it allows the writers to incorporate family in teenage storylines. Otherwise they'd have to bring on teenagers who have no connection. brandyb77 asks: JULIE: WHY DON'T YOU BEAT NICOLE UP? Julianne: Because my sсript doesn't tell me to! Julianne: I don't think Greta would beat Nicole up, but if she had my personality she'd be wise enough to let Eric know what's going on, and I think she should let Nicole know that she's not going to put up with it. Jensen: Aren't we just the mature type... feb5576 asks: Jensen, I noticed that your hair has gotten a little longer recently. Any reason why and will you get it cut shorter again? I think a buzz would look good! Jensen: I would love to shave my hair off. Jensen: The show prohibits that. If I could wear a no-hair do, I would. Julianne: You would have nothing to do! You'd get so bored not having anything to fix in the makeup room! Jensen: I'd love to get my makeup on and just cruise. gwynee99 asks: Are you guys going to be at the Celebrity Softball event again this year? Julianne: I don't know. Jensen: I haven't even heard of it. kattsia asks: Hi Julie and Jensen, which castmates are the most fun to work with? Julianne: Definitely not Jensen. Julianne: I love working with Kristian. Jensen: We like working together. We have a lot more fun than a lot of people. Julianne: Yeah. It's a fun cast Jensen: I like working with just about everybody. Julianne: Jensen and I have a great time working together. Aside from him, Kristian is a lot of fun to work with. Which is surprising, because she has so much pressure on her, but she has time to make it fun. Sweetness asks: What soap if any did you watch as a child? Julianne: General Hospital Jensen: All My Children. Jensen: Not that I watched it. It was on because my mother watched it. Julianne: Yeah, yeah, yeah... Jensen: Michael E. Knight? He's was my favorite soap character of all time. Julianne: He's great! Jensen: He presented me my newcomer award. Julianne: Ahhhhh. that's cool. grows10 asks: What was your favorite scene? Jensen: I don't know... they come in one ear and go out the other. Julianne: All my scenes with Jensen! Julianne: I have some stuff coming up with Kristian, where I find out she's my mother. Jensen: I know! When Sami was getting executed. Booger_Barbie_Dolly asks: Julianne, Will we ever find out who Greta's father is for sure? It's John isn't it? Julianne: I don't even know who it is! I'm as curious as everyone else. I hope I find out eventually. Jensen: (laughs) Jensen: Who heard that? Julianne: You sang at Kevin and Patrika's fan club event! Jensen: Yeah but that was, like, karaoke. It was the last name of the writer of the hymn they were singing. Jensen: I was going to be Justin, but she wanted something a little different. Jensen: I actually wasn't named for three days. DonnieBrasqo asks: Will you two have any steamy love scenes in the near future? Julianne: I don't know. They need a little something. Julianne: Greta got all flustered when they kissed at the copy place. Lord have mercy! Jensen: I don't know. Did we? Julianne: We became friends. I think we have a lot in common and we enjoy each other's company. Jensen: If there's chemistry, it comes form the fact that we enjoy each other as people Jensen: I think so. As soon as we started working together we started hanging out. sashajade asks: What do you think of the soon-to-be new soap networks? Jensen: I have no idea what you're talking about. Jensen: We're clueless! Jensen: All we do is go in there and act like puppets. btrfli_99 asks: How far in advance are you notified of upcoming storylines? Jensen: Maybe like a week or two in advance. Julianne: on average, a week or so, Julianne: if you ask questions, they'll steer you in the right direction, but sometimes they don't know. Jensen: Sometimes they don't even know what's going to happen with your character. dishitout: What is the greatest accomplishment in your life? Jensen: A million sarcastic ones just went through my head. Jensen: Just moving out of the house at 18 to the 2nd largest city in the US (LA) not knowing a soul, and then being able to build a career and support myself. Julianne: There's two things: doing the missionary work that I've been able to do. Julianne: I went to India and Belize and worked with kids a lot. That I'm probably the most proud of. And recently I bought a home in Florida for my parents, which is something I dreamed of doing my whole life. Julianne: Those are two things I always wanted to do that I was able to do. NeonBallroomDancer_99 asks: What kind of music do you 2 listen to? Jensen: Christmas music right now... Julianne: Year round you listen to country not Christmas. Julianne: He listens to Country when I'm around! Jensen: I don't necessarily listen to a lot of country. I just know it. It's programmed into you when you're born in Texas. Jensen: I listen to a lot of modern rock. Julianne: My favorite singers are Alison Craus, Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle... Nubs_Gunther asks: Julianne. Would you ever want to have a lead role in a movie about yourself? Julianne: Oh, lord! Jensen: That'd be a half-hour special! Julianne: That would be a commercial! Julianne: I've never even thought about that, "playing myself". I saw myself five years ago somewhere completely different than I am today, I'm living it day to day and not trying to predict the future. He was great, really sweet and supportive. Julianne: As an actor, he was a real giver. She doesn't like to deceive people, Julianne: but at the same time, she has a lot of loyalty. It's a question of who she's most loyal too. Jensen: Tell wardrobe. They'll fix you up. Jensen: I have noticed that there's been a nice response. Julianne: It's nice when you get feedback. Can you tell us what kinds of feature film roles you would like to play? Jensen: Gee, not that we really get to pick and choose in this business... Julianne: Someday you will. Jensen: I would like to work with any of the superstars, the mega film stars that I really respect. Julianne: If you're in school, get involved in your school plays. Get involved, see how you like it. Julianne: But don't pay money to "finders". You don't need to do that. Get an 8 by 10 taken. Julianne: Be careful. But the best thing to do is community theater and school plays. babygirl04019 asks: Jensen and Julianne, who are your idols or people that you really look up to in the acting business??? Julianne: Acting-wise, I'm a huge fan of John Malkovich and Robert Duvall. Julianne: Acting/personal celebrity, Audrey Hepburn. Julianne: I think the way she intertwined her acting and celebrity status to work with UNICEF was great Jensen: I have a favorite actor every time I watch a new movie. Jensen: So....whoever entertains me entertains me, and if I enjoy their work, I respect them. Jensen: There are a lot of them out there that I admire. ama_83 asks: Jensen how was to do a photo shoot for the calendar with Brian and Victor? Jensen: Oh, they made that into a calendar? Jensen: I didn't know that. Jensen: It's more just the guys getting together and goofing off. Jensen: Although I did learn new techniques of how to pump up with a towel, by Austin and Victor. shortyju asks: Do you ever get starstruck when you meet famous people at parties?? Jensen: Heck yeah! You'll never see it on my face, but I'll turn around and be like, "Oh my gosh!" Julianne: Do you really? Julianne: There's only a few people I would get starstruck by... like Robert Duvall, John Malkovich, Meryl Streep, people I really respect. Julianne: I wouldn't just get starstruck by celebrity. Jensen: She's just so used to it, you know... Julianne: Whatever! gina_g_1973 asks: J, in real life would you go for a guy like Eric Brady? Julianne: (laughs) Jensen: Of course I would! Julianne: He seems like an incredibly sweet, loyal, honest, trusting guy. Soapfan35 asks: Is it uncomfortable to film scenes like Nicole's striptease? Do you get embarrassed doing loves scenes? Jensen: That particular scene didn't embarrass me because all of my clothes were on. Jensen: The first time that Erica and Nicole made love--I was thinking my grandmother was going to kill me. Booger_Barbie_Dolly asks: You two should have been nominated for "Hottest Couple" for the SOD awards. Don't you agree? Julianne: Thank you! Jensen: Absolutely. I wish I could have answered more. Hopefully we'll be able to do this again! Julianne: Over the holidays, it's going to get really exciting as far as the Princess Gina storyline goes. DAYS FAN CLUB LUNCHEON Alla's Days Weekend adventure The luncheon was about to start and my friends and I made our way to our table. We were sitting at table #13 and it was very close to the stage. When we arrived at our seats, we found a picture book which contained pictures of every cast member, and a little hourglass. That picture book was what everyone got their autographs in. At around 11:20, the DAYS clip reel was played and it was soooo great. They showed scenes from the past year and everyone screamed when their favorite actor or actors were being shown. They also showed some bloopers which have obviously never before been seen and they were hilarious. At the conclusion of the clip reel, Suzanne Rogers (Maggie), and Frances Reid (Alice) were revealed on stage to welcome the fans to the Annual Fanclub Luncheon celebrating the 35th Anniversary of Days of our Lives. Suzanne then introduced Jim Reynolds (Abe) and Josh Taylor (Roman) to introduce the cast. The men took turns introducing a couple of cast members at a time. The cast members entered in groups according to their story line and each group was introduced with a little background about their character. The actors were to come in from the door in the front of the ballroom and make their way to the stage where there were tables set up for them. Of course each group of actors entered to loud screaming and clapping from fans. Jensen's group was the fifth one to be introduced and they were introduced by Jim Reynolds. Jim said "Poor Eric is torn between two women, the sexy Nicole and the very sweet Greta. Here are Jensen Ackles, Arianne Zuker and Julianne Morris." Jensen, Arianne, and Julianne made their way to the stage and sat at their table. The introductions continued and at around 11:45 the entire cast was out on the stage. Jim (Abe) then introduced some of Salem's favorite couples to help pull raffle tickets. About 10 minutes later we were told that 3 people have been chosen by some web site (sorry, not sure which one) to be the contestants in the DAYS trivia challenge. Jim introduced Patrika Darbo (Nancy) to explain the rules of the game. At around 12:00 Jim introduced Joe Mascolo (Stefano), Jason Cook (Shawn), and Kirsten Storms (Belle) to lead the ULTIMATE DAYS CHALLENGE TRIVIA FINALS! The entire game was so funny to watch because Joe Mascolo was acting the way Regis Phillbin does on the millionaire show. About 15 minutes later they had a winner, I'm not sure about what they won, and Jim called upon more of Salem's favorite couples to call out more raffles. Jensen and Julianne were the last ones to call a raffle. At this point one of my friends turned to me and said "hey look, that guy looks like Jensen, that must be his brother." I turned around, and realized that it was Jensen's brother, along with the rest of his family. Jensen's father was standing up and video taping Jensen and Julianne on stage when they were calling the raffles. He had a big smile on his face and you could tell just by looking at him how proud he was of his son. One woman who was sitting at my table heard me say that that was Jensen's family and she said to me "Look how proud his father looks". It was that obvious. At approximately 12:30 Jim dismissed the actors to go to their tables to sign autographs, and the autograph signing lasted until approximately 3:00. My friends and I wanted to go to Jensen's table first but realized that within seconds, his line was longer than anyone else's. We decided to go meet the other actors and come back to Jensen's table when the line would be shorter. Little did we know, that was never going to happen. We first went to meet Matt Cedeno (Brandon), what a nice guy. He took his time meeting everyone and got up every time a fan wanted a picture, (unlike some other actors, that never once moved from the position in which they were sitting in). We then met everyone else who was sitting at that same table, Ali Sweeney (Sami), Adam Jeffries (Larry), and Austin Peck (Austin). Adam Jeffries was a very nice guy as well. He's a good actor and I told him that I hope they decide to put him on contract. He agreed with me, and thanked me. After meeting these four actors, we went to check on Jensen's line, and it only seemed to get longer. I spotted Mrs. Ackles standing to the side of Jensen's table and decided to go over and say hello. I walked over there with my friend Sharisa and said "Mrs. Ackles? Hi!" She looked at me and said "You must be Alla." Mrs. Ackles then introduced me to Jensen's older brother Josh, and younger sister McKenzie. We spoke for a little bit and then Jensen's father walked over. Mrs. Ackles introduced me to him and I introduced my friend Sharisa to all of them. I asked Mrs. Ackles if they were going to be at Kevin and Patrika's event that night and she said that they were. I then complained about Jensen's loooong line and Sharisa told them that at last year's luncheon Jensen's line was the second longest, after Drakes (John). After about another 5 minutes I said bye to the Ackles' and we told each other that we'd see each other later that night at Kevin and Patrika's event. Mrs. Ackles also told me to say hello to Beth. My friends and I made our way over to Victor Webster (Nicolas) who was sitting next to Jay Johnson (Philip). We took lots of pictures with Victor and with Jay. Victor is simply great and he's soooo much fun to even talk to for 5 minutes. Jay Johnson is another great guy and he has so much personality. When you talk to him, he looks you straight in the eyes and he seems so interested in everything you have to say. Jay told us about his soon to be out web site and gave us some 5X7 headshots. We then made our way to Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe), who was sitting in between Patrika Darbo (Nancy), and Aaron Van Wagner (Jason). Kevin Spirtas (Kevin) was sitting on the other side of Patrika, and we went over to him later on. Nadia Bjorlin is simply breath-takingly beautiful. She's very friendly and down to earth. I told her that a girl that I go to school with now sent her regards because they used to go to high school together. Nadia was happily surprised and told me to tell that girl that she said hello and that she misses her. We then met with Aaron Van Wagner and he is soooo much better looking in person than on T.V. There are not many people that I can say that about, but he is definitely one of them. He seemed like he was so happy to even be sitting there and meeting all the fans. Nice guy. Jensen's table was right next to where Aaron Van Wagner was sitting, but that line just seemed to get longer and longer. We decided to go see Kevin Spirtas and Patrika Darbo, who we just saw the night before at Austin's event. When Patrika saw us she joked "Oh no, the MAFIA, go away". We were about to ask Patrika about her and Kevin's event that night when we saw little white balls flying at Kevin and some of them were hitting him. We couldn't figure out where they were coming from until we turned around and saw that Victor Webster was throwing them at Kevin from across the room. Kevin grabbed an 8X10 of Victor that Sharisa was holding, jumped on top of his table and yelled to Victor threatening to rip his 8X10. We all stood there and yelled "No Kevin, DON'T". It was sooo funny! It was then announced that there was only about an hour left to the entire luncheon and I realized that I had not yet seen Jensen. My friends wanted to meet Lauren Koslow (Kate), who was sitting next to John Aniston (Victor). Her line was also rather long so we decided that I would go stand in Jensen's line and they would join me after they met with Lauren and John. I went to stand in Jensen's line and my friends joined me about 10 minutes later. I overheard some people on line talking about how nice and friendly Jensen's family was and some people even went over to take pictures of them. My friend Negin had to leave early because she was going to help out with Kevin and Patrika's event. Sharisa and Jaclyn joined me on Jensen's line, which was together with Julianne's. It was finally our turn and I was excited and happy to see Jensen again. He looked up and me and said "Hey! What did you do? Go see everyone else before you came over here?" I then told him about how his line is never going to get any shorter so I wanted to meet everyone before I came over there. Jensen then walked around the table and gave me a hug hello. I then gave him a card from Beth and he thanked me and told me to say hello to her. I couldn't really hang around there as long as I would have liked to because Jensen's line was still pretty long and I knew that everyone there wanted to meet him before time was up. I quickly took a picture with Jensen and Julianne and told him that I'd see him at Kevin and Patrika's event that night. He told me that he wouldn't be signing at that event because he had no time to rehearse with the rest of the cast. My friend Sharisa then got a picture with Jensen and Julianne and we said bye to them. We really wanted to meet Joe Mascolo (Stefano), who was sitting next to Suzanne Rogers (Maggie), so we made our way to their table. It was so weird talking to Joe because he has no accent in real life. He asked me where I was from and I told him that I was from New York. He says "where?" so I said "New York City", so he says "where?" so I say "Brooklyn", so he says "where?" so I say "you wanna know where in Brooklyn?" and he goes "yeah". By this time both him and I were laughing. I told him where in Brooklyn and he said he knew exactly where that was because he used to live in the NYC area. I took a picture with him and then my friend took a picture with him and we went over to say hello to Suzanne Rogers. We took pictures with Suzanne Rogers and I just wanna say that I don't know how old she is but I wanna look like her when I'm her age. What a sweet and beautiful woman. At the next table were sitting William Utay (Dr. Rolf), Marcy Kaplan (Marlo), and Steve Blackwood (Bart). We got autographs from them in our booklets and took pictures with all three. It was then announced that the luncheon was going to be over in about 15 minutes. We realized that we wanted to meet and haven't met some of the teens. We went to stand in line where Farah Fath (Mimi), Jason Cook (Shawn), and Kirsten Storms (Belle) were seated. We waited in line and by the time it was our turn, Kirsten had already left. Farah and Jason stayed and wanted to make sure that everyone who wanted an autograph, got one. That was soooo sweet of them. I met Farah and I was totally amazed by her. Out of all the actors that I've ever met, she seems the most real. She is more down to earth than anyone and she says exactly what she's thinking. She's a very, very cool girl. I took a picture with her and got her autograph in my booklet. I then went over to say hello to Jason and he remembered me from the charity basketball game that I met him at in the beginning of May. He said "Hey, I remember you, what's up?" I was happily surprised and the first thing I did was get him to sign a picture of him and my friend Jessica, who is a BIG fan of his. After he signed a picture for Jessica I took a picture with him and thanked him. By this time the entire place was clearing out fast and there weren't that many people left in the room. I realized that Josh Taylor (Roman) was still at his table and my friend and I walked over there. There was a staff member standing by his table telling everyone that he had to leave. I really wanted a picture with him and was very disappointed when he couldn't take one with me. I think he saw that I was disappointed and he made up for it later. (You'll read all about it in the summary from Lauren Koslow's event). After he signed about 5 more autographs, he left. I turned around and noticed a whole crowd of people on the other side of the room. I went over there to see what was going on and saw that Drake Hogestyn (John) was still signing autographs and taking pictures with everyone. His line was sooooo long it looked like he wasn't going to get done for another hour. I stood at the side of his table and just took pictures of him. About 5 minutes later my friends wanted to leave because we were going to attend Lauren Koslow's event in about an hour. Overall, I had an AMAZING time at the luncheon and it all felt like a dream. I have met many of the actor's before this luncheon but this was something else. It was wonderfully organized and I give a lot of credit to everyone who helped organize it. I can't wait till the luncheon next year. I want to tell all of you to save that birthday money and come out to Cali for the luncheon next year. Its an experience you'll never forget. HOME ::On The Verge: Jensen Ackles
This 24-year-old Texan is no stranger to our TV screens — you saw Jensen on Days of Our Lives and Dark Angel, and now he's starring in Dawson's Creek as peer counselor CJ. Obviously he's busy, but not so busy that he didn't have time to talk to us about his life.

How did you get into acting?
My father is an actor, so he brought me into his agency when I was young. It wasn't something I wanted to do until high school, when I started taking theater and really liked it. Then an agent found me and wanted me to come out to Los Angeles and give it a shot. I gave myself six months [to find something], but it only took me like a week to get a job.

Do you feel guilty when you see other actors who have been struggling to get work for years, while you got work after a week?
Oh yeah. I've got to be careful who I tell that story to. I've told a few people and they're like, "Oh, I hate you." It's not that easy — I've seen people [who've been] here longer than I have been, [and they're] still trying to get commercials.

What was your first job?
It was an NBC sitcom called Mr. Rhodes. I played Malcolm; he was an airhead, aloof jock. The show was shot at Universal Studios, so every day I got to go to up there to work — it's like a movie-making mecca. I was blown away.

Have you ever had any auditions that you really wanted, but didn't get?
I came very close to Smallville — it was down to me and Tom [Welling]. I was excited about it, but I knew I shouldn't put all my eggs in one basket. It would have been a great gig, but I got Dark Angel about three months later.

You also starred in Days of Our Lives...
It almost didn't happen — it was about three or four months after Mr. Rhodes was canceled. I was auditioning but not getting the jobs, and I was discouraged. Meanwhile I'm getting calls from all my friends who are in college having a blast. I went for the Day of Our Lives audition, and I was so frustrated that I thought, "If I don't get this one, I'm moving back home."

Do you ever regret not going to college?
Right now, no, because I feel as though I got a very interesting "life college." I moved out to this huge city all by myself. I had to grow up quickly. I learned a lot of things about the real world that my friends are just learning. Also, I started reading the dictionary and books about college education — I was teaching myself what my friends were learning in class. And it worked out — I would come home and talk to them about stuff that they hadn't even learned yet.

How did you get the part in Dawson's Creek?
I went into the WB and read for the producers of Dawson's Creek. It was a guest spot or something and I didn't get it — they were looking for something different. But they knew me, so they just called up later and offered me the role of CJ instead.

Are you psyched to be on the show?
It's cool. Dawson's Creek is a well-oiled machine. It's nice when everybody knows their job and everybody's doing it well and there's not too many kinks in the system. I think [the cast] have had their ups and downs — we've all read the tabloids and the articles about them over the years. But everybody gets along; it's a happy set and the people are very welcoming.

What about the well-publicized tensions between Josh Jackson and James Van Der Beek?
I haven't really experienced it firsthand, but I know a little bit about the beef with them. I think that they're like, "I don't have anything to say to you and you don't have anything to say to me, and we're cool with that." I've hung out with both of them simultaneously, they've been in the same room, and they were fine. I mean, they weren't clowning around, but they're cordial and they're adult about it.

If in real life you had to choose between Jen and Audrey, who would it be?
I don't think either of them is really my type. I think they're both really pretty girls and they both have great personalities, but I don't think I could make a decision on it.

If neither of them is your type, what is?
There are just certain things that turn my head. It may be a girl's sense of humor, it may be her wit, or her belief system — it could be a lot of different things.

And once your head is turned, is it easy for you to approach a girl?
No, I'm not very good at all! It takes a girl to come up to me to strike up a conversation. I try to show them by looks that I'm definitely noticing them and there's an interest. But the whole approaching thing — I have no lines, no tactic.

What would you like to do next?
I love shooting Dawson's, but I really enjoyed doing Mr. Rhodes, too, and I haven't done comedy since. I don't watch a whole lot of television, so I don't know what show I'd choose to be on — I went a whole year, last year, without television. It was great. I didn't miss it. I was doing a lot of other productive things in my day other then plopping down on the couch and watching TV.

So what do you do in your spare time?
It's football season, so me and my buddies are strapping on the cleats, going out onto a field, and tossing the pigskin around. I've got a good group of friends, and I try to spend a lot of time with them. And I fly home to see my family quite a bit when I'm not working.

What do you do during your downtime in Wilmington [where they film Dawson's Creek]?
During the summer it was really beautiful, because you could go down to the beach and do some surfing. Now, since fall came around, everybody gets together and goes out and has fun. We'll go to an arcade and play some bumper cars.

I did not read them, ahh, but she dragged me to the movie and I went and I saw it and I was sitting there watching this and I’m like “Why is this not rated R? This is like children killing eachother”. Uhh, and there was like moments in the movie where the audience is laughing and I would go like “what, I don’t what, I don’t understand” and she’s like “It’s in the book”. OKay and I’m looking up and I’m like “wait a minute I’ve seen this, this ah, ummm, Liam uhhh

Jensen: Thank you. Uhh, he’s like on every cover of every magazine saying he’s like the next biggest thing, he had like four lines in the movie; I’m I missing something? Apparently I am, the next two films, the next two or three books are about him. But ah, so I didn’t really get it umm, but yeah she likes it so.

  well, here's an interview Jensen did while in Australia, and I've never seen it before on the forum, so I thought you guys might be interested in reading it. It's really funny and insightful...so here you go!

  What did you get up to on your break during the writers' strike?
  I spent some time at home in Texas with my family and just relaxed. It's really nice when you go home and you don't have to do anything but lie on the couch. Mum takes care of everything, you know? That's always nice. And I went back to my house in LA, which I never get to see because we shoot the show in Vancouver. So I came back and, you know, cleaned the house.

  
  
  You did some dusting?
  Absolutely. Some dusting. Watered the plants.
  

  
  Does it sit there empty or do you rent it out?
  Yeah, it does. So it's a bit depressing sometimes when I come home. But I try to get back as much as possible just to keep the place livable.

  
  
  On a mor|e serious note, how come Dean and Sam never take their shirts off? They hang round their motel rooms, they never take showers, never do laundry... are they just grubs or what?
  Yeah, they stink like cow patties. We live out of our trunk and we smell like crap. And I can attest that Jared does smell like crap most of the time.
  

  
  Are the guys still mainly living on stolen credit cards and so forth?
  For the most part, yeah. Dean's a bit of a pool shark and also a bit of a gambler. It doesn't really show it all the time, but it's definitely implied that there are poker games and pool matches that they can win some money on. And who knows? Dean's a promiscuous kind of guy. Who knows how he drums up the funds that they use?

  
  
  Dean eats all the time and Sam never eats. Was this a decision or did it evolve over time?
  That kind of happened by accident and I'm actually sorry that it did. I feel solely responsible for it because, in the first season, for some stupid reason, there was a plate of food and I just thought it would be funny if I started eating it. It was and the writers loved it, and now Dean eats all the time.

  
  
  Do you spit the food out?
  For the most part, I can't because I eat one and the scene continues and I've got to eat another one and it's got to go somewhere. It's not just I eat, smile and spit it out like a commercial. We've got dialogue to talk through, so a lot of times I've just got to stomach it.
  

  
  Do you have to work out a lot mor|e to burn it off?
  No, I don't eat a ton, but yeah, I definitely spend an extra 20 minutes on the treadmill.

  
  
  What's your favourite episode ever?
  That's a tough one - there are a lot of good ones.

  
  
  I love the Rashomon-s t y l e one where Sam and Dean tell the stories from their own perspectives. That was really funny...
  "Tall Tales"? Yeah, that's a good one. And "Hollywood Babylon", where Dean got the PA job on the set. That's what I love about the show - each episode is different. It's up and down and funny and sad. It's scary, it's happy.
  

  
  Do you ever have nightmares?
  No. I have less now because I deal with all this stuff on a day-to-day basis and it doesn't affect me anymore.

  
  
  Now that's it been established that people can get out of hell, do you think Dean will actually go to hell and Sam will have to devise a way to get him out of it?
  It's possible. Anything's possible. I actually hadn't thought about that.

  
  
  What's the most outrageous thing you've read or heard about yourself?
  That I was married to some girl. The funny thing about working on a show like this is that the fans are very protective. If something is written on the internet, it's amazing how quickly the fans will attack them and police them and say, "No, this is not correct. Don't write this. You're off the messageboards" or whatever. But there was quite a long thing for a while where people were arguing about the fact that I was married to some girl I'd never heard of. It was a bit bizarre. It was like an ongoing discussion for a year about whether or not I had this secret marriage to this girl I'd never met.

  
  
  Is it true there's a pack of girls who follow you around?
  Not the same ones.

  
  
  Oh, so there are different packs of girls?
  No, I don't even know that. If they do, they're like Navy Seals because I don't see them.

  
  
  Do you think the reason they were adamant you weren't married is because they were hopeful you might still be single?
  I don't know. You maybe think about that stuff as like a teen idol, but it's funny - most of the audience members that are fans of the show are older women that are already married.
  

  
  I think there might be some younger girls...
  Maybe, but it's not completely relegated to that demographic.

  
  
  Well, if they took their shirts off a bit more...
  Why do they need to? It doesn't advance the storyline at all.

  
  
  Oh, storyline schmoryline...
  That's right.
  

  
  Do you have a girlfriend?
  Yes, I'm in a relationship.
  

  
  Is she an actress?
  Yes. It's nice because we understand schedules and the ups and downs of working in an industry like this. It's nice to have a best friend.
  

  
  Is she based in LA?
  Yes. Right now she's on a plane - she was here with me.

  
  
  Did you meet each other through work?
  No, we were friends first. Is it hard with you being in Canada a lot of the time?
  It can be. It can strain not just a romantic relationship, but also friendships and family ties. Not that those people are going to go anywhere, but you lose touch with them. And it definitely takes an extra amount of effort to keep those friendships alive. So I try to get back to LA as much as possible to see my friends face to face and give them a hug and say, "How the heck are you?"

  
  
  And plus, you've got all that dusting to do...
  This is true.
  

  
  Does Jared ever get bothered that he's basically the straight man?
  And I'm the goof?

  
  
  Yeah...
  I don't think so. [Laughs]. I think he's completely happy letting me make an ass of myself all the time.

  
  
  But a lot of the time, he pretty much has to just set you up for the jokes and that can be tough. You get all the laughs...
  Yeah, but in any good duo, the straight man is as important as the comedic man. Look at Abbott and Costello and some of the great vaudeville acts - you've got to have those two entities or it just doesn't work. And I think what makes he and I so great is that we can pull that off together. We use each other very well, and what can I say? He makes a great straight man.

  
  
  Do you have any big-screen ambitions?
  I'm a little busy right now with the show...
  

  
  But down the track?
  Down the track, absolutely. I'm not looking for overnight success or to be the lead of a major motion picture tomorrow. What I'd really like to do is get on the set with people who I admire and respect, and learn from them and let myself grow into roles, as opposed to getting a role and trying to grow into it in a month. To be on the set of a movie that has an amazing director and watch him direct other people - give me a small role on the film, give me one scene with a DeNiro or...
  

  
  Who's on top of your list?
  There are so many. Look at films like No Country For Old Men - it's a phenomenal film. There Will Be Blood and movies like that where people are really doing something, and they're really making artistic films and telling a story through a brilliant eye - those are the kinds of pictures I'd like to be a part of. Obviously, the big blockbuster movies - Transformers and stuff like that - those are going to be awesome to be a part of as well. If you can balance those big blockbuster action movies and then a really cool story, whether it be Juno or... that's what I aspire to do. Tell really good stories and make it exciting for people to watch.
  

  
  Well, you can do action, you can do humour... you could have a Bruce Willis-type career.
  I'd be very happy to have a career remotely like Bruce Willis.
  

  
  In what ways are you similar to and different from Dean?
  I don't know. In the beginning, I tried to use a lot of myself because I was still finding the character, but as the years progress and the character's progressed, he's definitely taken on a personality of his own. He's definitely a character. So it's neat for me to walk on the set and put those clothes on.
  

  
  Which are so very different... [Jensen is wearing a Dean-****western shirt]
  Not entirely. [Laughs.] But you put the jacket on and put the collar up, and you've got the cool car and you're good to go. He's definitely got this renegade, cavalier-type of mentality. I'm probably not as crazy as he is. But we do probably share a lot more qualities than I give credit for.

  
  
  How is it that all those hick motels the guys stay in have wireless internet access? I can buy the demons and all of that - I just don't buy the motels having wireless internet...
  That's a very good question. You know, I just want to find a motel anywhere that looks like the inside of some of those motels. All the motel sets are built sets, and the art department and the set decorating crew go absolutely ballistic with those motels.

  
  
  They are awesome...
  That's the one freedom that the network and the writers and everybody gave them - go nuts with the motels. Just off the charts. And Jerry Wanek, who's in charge of all that, is a creative monster. He and I worked together on Dark Angel, and the sets that he creates are phenomenal. I always get excited the day of the motel shoot because we'll walk in and it's like, "OK, what has Jerry done this episode?" And it's always impressive. And always has wireless internet. It's amazing.

  
  
  And yet, apparently, no bathrooms...
  They have bathrooms.

  
  
  But you guys never have showers...
  There's an episode coming up - I'm in the shower.

  
  
  Seriously? It's about time. So, basically, once a year Dean has a shower and then goes to hell?
  Yeah. I figured I wanted to be cleaned up when I go and meet my demise. That's respectable.

  Me too. I know Jensen has made some movies but I would love to see him in a different role than horror or science fiction. I wish Ten Inch Hero would air in New York. It looks like a cool movie but only a handful of people have seen it.

  I remember learning about that a while back, and how much he regretted ever eating those little hot dogs during that scene in NIGHTMARE as a priest because of all the food he has to eat now......poor Jensen...

  Don't be downcast.... from other sources it sound like Danneel is a down to earth, kind person.... and if they started as friends, not unlike Sandy and Jared, I hope it turns out well for them....

Granny's Chocolate Meringue Pie

Ingredients

Crust:

• 2 cups all-purpose flour


• 1 teaspoon salt


• 3/4 cup solid vegetable shortening


• 1 tablespoon sugar


• 6 to 7 tablespoons ice cold water

Filling:

• 3 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped


• 1 1/4 cups sugar


• 1/4 cup cornstarch


• Pinch salt


• 3 cups milk


• 3 eggs, separated


• 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract


• 2 tablespoons butter

Directions

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Mix well. Add the shortening and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add the water and let sit 1 minute. Either using a fork or your hands, carefully press the mixture together to form a soft ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and place it on a lightly floured surface. Roll out the dough on the floured surface into a circle about 12 inches in diameter and 1/8 of an inch thick. Gently fold the circle of dough in half and then in half again so that you can lift it without tearing it, and unfold into a 9-inch by 2-inch deep-dish pie pan. Crimp the edges and place in the oven. Bake until golden, about 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool completely.

In a saucepan, combine the chocolate, 1 cup sugar, cornstarch and salt. Mix well. Stir in the milk. Place the pan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Beat the egg yolks. Add 1/2 cup of the hot mixture to the egg yolks and mix well. Add the mixture back to the saucepan and continue to cook for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and butter. Pour the filling into the prepared pie shell and cool completely. Cover with plastic and refrigerate until chilled. Beat the egg whites, on medium speed, until soft peaks form, about 2 minutes. Add the remaining sugar and continue to beat until stiff peaks form. Spread the meringue evenly over the pie. Place in a preheated 350 degree oven, on the top rack and bake until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Remove and cut into individual servings.

I'm late. I know it, but I have an excuse that gets me out of any trouble. I've just spent the weekend at the Chicago Con and Jensen and Jared were absolutely fabulous! Dean's words and anger convinced the youngest Winchester not to pursue the matter further. Being Sam, however, meant that he couldn't just leave things like that.

"Sammy, I said that's enough! I'm not going to talk about it anymore."

Sam nodded with lowered head. Dean didn't see the hurt on his brother's face as he was facing away. For Sam's part, he couldn't understand how his older brother's demeanor had become so combustible. He could only attribute it to Dean's time in Hell and it hurt the younger man more than he could say.

Supernatural's Jim Beaver - met him at the hotel - before AECON3

my friend got lucky and met jim beaver in front of the maritim hotel before aecon3. too bad the camera's battery died. later we went to the bar with him and got to talk to him for about a total of 2 hours. wonderful man. his personality is beyond awesome. perfect human being with a huge heart for his fans. i'm very thankful for this evening.

Just a short little note about AECON3. I’m still trying to remember everything. But I think I got the most important stuff for now

AECON3 was the best experience in my life. EVER. I’ve met so many talented and lovely people.

I am happy how down to earth the Supernatural-cast actually is. Especially the lovely Jim Beaver. I still can’t believe how much time I actually spent with him during this whole convention. He learned the german word for smartass, which is KLUGSCHEISSER and used it at the panel - against me.

I’m known to be a smartass sometimes, so it’s an honor to be called a Klugscheisser by him.

Everyone from the cast gave me autographs and wrote me little birthday notes. Jim Beaver tried to remember the german saying for it for at least 2 minutes. When I told him to just ask me for help he said: “I’m trying not to need any help.” - Another minute later he couldn’t help himself anymore and Maggie Zakrzewska finally helped him.

On Friday he already gave me his best wishes, in perfect german, after we spent about 1 1/2 hrs with him on a (what he called) fieldtrip and at the hotel bar.

Before we left the convention we got to meet Steven Williams again and we asked him for one last picture and a big hug. Oh that hug was biiig, I tell you! He is such a funny guy. He asked me why I needed such a big hug (while he was hugging me already) and I said because it was my birthday and he replied that I shouldn’t leave just yet he would have a birthday present for me. I asked him how big that present might be and he laughed so hard and said: “ohhh honey, you don’t wanna know.” Lovely.

On saturday, after the Jason Manns concert Mark Pellegrino left the hotel and we got to talk to him for a couple minutes. Maggie asked him if we could take a picture with him, since the rogue staff wasn’t around anymore. He seemed to be surprised that we would actually ask him and he said: “Oh love, of course you guys can take a picture with him. But we have to watch out so I don’t get into trouble. Some lovely woman (sorry, I don’t know who she was… his agent? manager? assistant? - no clue, sorry) took the picture. First one turned out pretty blurry so they said let’s try that again. Wonderful.

At the autograph session on sunday, Maggie and I got in first before everyone else. We could actually stand there and wait for the cast to show up. Misha Collins was like: “Hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi… to everyone… gave us that huuuge charming smile.” and Jim Beaver was very busy with his Dr Pepper bottle and when he took the last sip he gave that bottle to me and said: “I need a refill”. Sorry that I forgot to give you your refill, but I still got that bottle - and that’s not even weird. Nope.

I had a photo-op with Jim Beaver on saturday and I didn’t care that the photographer had to wait for me and him, because I had to ask him about friday night at the bar. A few people ordered drinks with him and I happen to still have the receipt from the bar. I asked him (at the photo-op, sorry for everyone who had to wait in line for so long!) if he paid for all the drinks or just his. And he was like: “I think I only paid for mine.” And I was confused, because Maggie and I left the bar - totally forgetting about paying the drinks. We just walked out there with our glas still in our hands. Anyway, yes. I talked to him for a while. (again.)

We have been to almost every panel, but everything around those panels was way better than the panels. Of course we laughed our butts off, especially with Misha Collins on stage, but actually meeting the cast & crew was so special.

I don’t know how many more conventions, if even one more, they gonna have in Germany, but it feels like this was a once in a lifetime chance and I grabbed it and I got more out of it than I would have ever expected to get.

When Misha Collins was on stage he said something like: “I heard there won’t be another con in Germany? Well, they don’t have a saying in that. So fuck you.”… something like that. I was cheering so hard I almost fainted.

Long story short: It was the right decision to join the Supernatural fandom. Being a part of this ‘family’ is amazing.

And now you have to excuse me, I have to save up money for the next convention.

Oh and the autographs will be posted sometime soon. The pictures are a little too big for my scanner - have to do that when I’m back at work next week.
